Do I need an appointment?
No appointment is needed. Walk in any time during our pharmacy hours: Monday through Friday 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, or Saturday 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. If you prefer a specific time, you are welcome to call ahead, but it is not required. Most vaccinations take less than 10 minutes from check-in to completion.
Does insurance cover vaccines at a pharmacy?
Most vaccines are covered at zero cost when billed correctly. Flu shots and most routine immunizations are billed under Medicare Part B with no copay for Medicare patients. COVID-19 vaccines are covered at $0 for Medicare and most private insurance plans. Shingrix is covered under Medicare Part D with your standard copay. We verify your insurance before administering any vaccine and will tell you the cost upfront if anything applies. We accept Medicare Part B, Medicare Part D, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Humana, and most major plans.
Who should get a flu shot this year?
The CDC recommends annual flu vaccination for everyone 6 months and older. For adults 65 and older, high-dose or adjuvanted flu vaccines provide stronger protection and are available at our pharmacy. The best time to get vaccinated is early fall, but getting vaccinated at any point during flu season still provides meaningful protection — it takes about two weeks for immunity to fully develop after the shot.
Can I get multiple vaccines in one visit?
Yes. It is safe and common to receive more than one vaccine at the same appointment. Many patients get a flu shot and COVID-19 booster together. Our pharmacist will review your vaccination history and confirm what is appropriate for your age and health situation before administering anything.
